An Ultrasonic Wheel Probe Al Terna Tive to Liquid Coupling

چکیده
Unfortunately, transmission of ultrasound between the transducer and the testpiece across an air gap is very inefficient because of the large acoustic impedance mismatch between air and solid materials [1]. This means that the ultrasound is almost totally reflected at the transducer-air boundary in transmission and at the testpiece-air boundary in reception. This problem is generally overcome by employing a liquid couplant between the transducer(s) and the testpiece.

Extraction of Acetaminophen from Aqueous Solution by Emulsion Liquid Membrane Using Taylor-Couette Column
A study on the extraction of Acetaminophen (ACTP) which is also known as paracetamol, from aqueous solution by emulsion liquid membrane process using Taylor-Couette Column (TCC) was investigated. An ELM consists of three phase system which are the external, membrane and internal phases. The external phase containing the ACTP aqueous solution to be treated. Basically, the internal and membrane p...
متن کاملUltrasonic-Assisted Matrix Solid-Phase Dispersion and High-Performance Liquid Chromatography as an Improved Methodology for Determination of Oleuropein from Olive Leaves
In this study, ultrasonic-assisted matrix solid-phase dispersion (UA-MSPD) as a new sample preparation method for natural product analysis was developed. Influential parameters of the UA-MSPD method was optimized using oleuropein content of olive leaves as a model analyte. Main parameters of the proposed technique such as ultrasonic time, amplitude and pulse, sorbent material, the ratio of samp...
متن کاملOptimization of phased-array transducers for ultrasonic inspection in composite materials using sliding probes
The increasing use in the industries of composite materials implies finding a suitable way for testing and evaluating them. Non-destructive testing by ultrasounds is an appropriate method to detect defects in this type of materials, however, because of their structure it is required to find the most applicable and accurate process for detecting flaws and anomalies in them. For conventional ultr...
متن کاملInfluence of ultrasonic power and sonication time on the thickness of MoS2 2D nanoflakes, prepared via sonophysics technique
In this research, MoS2 nanoflakes were prepared via the Liquid Phase Exfoliation method by utilizing an ultrasonic probe. We changed the power of our sonicator and the sonication time to investigate their effects on the thickness of obtained flakes. Our findings from UV-Visible Spectra and the SEM images have indicated that the minimum thickness for these samples has been acquired at the power ...
متن کاملAn Ultrasonic technology Study for Subsurface Defect in Railway Wheel Tread
The subsurface defect in the wheel tread caused from Rolling Stock Fatigue (RCF) has become more danger in high speed railway. The conventional UT and phased array UT have deficiency to find the subsurface defect from the tread surface because of limitation of ultrasonic near field. In this paper, the subsurface defect is studied by simulation and experimental results with ultrasonic technique....
